Balanced nutrition: fueling your body right

Balanced nutrition is the foundation of a healthy body, which is why it's important to fuel your body in the right way. Eat foods from every group, such as proteins, carbs, minerals, fats, and vitamins. Balance your plate with different colors and textures, and don’t eliminate essential food groups.

Control your food portions – use smaller plates to control portions and listen to your body's hunger signals. Hydration is also essential for a healthy body, so drink 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. Include hydrating foods and vegetables in your diet and reduce sugary drinks and alcohol.

Never skip breakfast and eat every 3 to 4 hours, including healthy snacks in your meals. Use whole grains and include oats, brown rice, etc. It is also important to eat healthy proteins from both plant-based sources, like beans and nuts, and animal-based sources, like lean meat, fish, and eggs.

Limit processed foods and prepare your meals at home if possible. Along with this, practice mindful eating, such as eating slowly and chewing properly. Avoid distractions while eating and appreciate your food. Consider your age, activity level, and health needs, and choose the right diet accordingly.

If you feel the need, consult a nutritionist. Make sustainable changes instead of quick fixes and choose quality ingredients that nourish your body and support your fitness goals.
